What was the highlight of Hotel Silken Puerta Madrid
A great oasis in madrid!
I have been in hundreds of hotels, and this must have been the cleanest! Excellent rooms. Super friendly and always available staff. Near the center but outside the ZBE zones, which allow me to ride my own car. I stayed there for three nights, and on two of them, I chose to have dinner at the hotel bar. The menu was varied, and the food was excellent. A 5 star hotel experience.
They should improve their communication! It should be clear on the website that the hotel is located outside the ZBE (Low Emission Zone). The chat on Booking consistently informed me that the hotel was within a ZBE and that I needed to contact Madrid City Hall to find out how to reach the hotel, which turned out not to be true. I made a 700km journey worried about whether I could get to the hotel without risking a €200 fine.

Good hotel, easy to reach from the airport
Nice facilities, easy to reach from the airport, good restaurant, spacious clean room and comfortable large bed. Spacious toilet with shower and bathtub option. Nice meeting rooms for business meetings.
Basic amenities for a 4 star and for the price at the location. No mineral water in the room, but vending machines on some floors (if you want to drink water at night and don't want to drink tap water, you need to dress up and go to the floors where vending machines are). No flip flops, no bathrobe, small TV, lacking pillow menu (4 pillows offered of different sizes, but same hardness and thickness).
